No, but gross misconduct is slightly different to wanting to release someone for poor form.
That being said, this is the RFL, who knows how it will work.

23 - 20 - 4 Warrington led 16-2 in Saturday's Grand Final, but their joy was short-lived as Wigan roared back to win the Super League title and extend the Wire's 58-year wait to be champions

Denis Moron was "sacked" wasn't he? I think Cock's remaining salary would be off the cap.

Indeed. Room to bring someone in this year?
I wouldn't bother tbh as we have more then enough cover.
We should replace Bailey for next year now though. An attacking second row forward should be on the list if we can't get one of the right quality.

Shouldn't really laugh but 'white lines' by Grandmaster Falsh has just come on VH! classic while I was reading this thread.
On a serious note, what a waste of a talent, one of our biggest players has just thrown his career away, wouldn't mind so much if it wasn't a player we often had to rely on.

Isn't that when he did his knee Ligaments against Bradford ruling him out of the season?
The club said he'd be back for the start of 2006 but his comeback kept being put back week on week due to another injury problem occuring.
I remember he finally came back at Salford.

Is it actually 'Twice as sweet as sugar' or 'Twice as pretty as salt'...?
I'm not convinced...!

You're probably right. I think he had complications with his shins that kept him out longer than expected. I remember a lot of people complaining that it was due to all the hill-running they were doing at the time, under the then conditioner, whose name escapes me.

6.21pm on a Wednesday....
Badwanger is an inadvertent comic genius.
As well as that comment on Jonathan Davies (which he then attempted to justify in a series of bizarre posts) he actually said at one point on the Super Duper thread when desperately claiming that the international scene is in good shape that England would "walk all over" the other teams in that competition. Never has the phrase "you couldn't make it up" been more appropriate....
When I questioned whether he really thought England would walk all over the Kiwis and Aussies, Badwanger did issue a rare retraction (perhaps even the most fervent of pro-CC believers can occasionally realise they've taken a step too far) and claimed a "slight misunderstanding". Apparently he thought I was talking about the England, Wales, Ireland and Scotland tournament (yes, I know...
).
There were too many classic pro-CC comments on that thread to include in my sig unfortunately. I'll leave you with the following, from McLennan, talking about recent developments in the two rugby codes:
"I don't think you can point at Super League and say it's not grown as much as the British RU club scene."
