I've heard Sam has signed for Saracens, not heard anything about Joel. I told the person who told me, I flat out don't believe it, but they were adamant.

Hopefully all of this is bollox. Would be gutted to lose either of them. If one goes, its inevitable that the other one would too. Would just show that contracts really do mean f*ck all.

If these Tomkins rumours are true (which I dont for one minute think they are) then surely the compensation package/transfer fee would be huge! Considering they've both got 4 years left on their contracts.

Well I shan't get to worked up, as of yet this is nothing but speculation. But should it happen, it'll be huge blow to the club, and particularly our chances of challenging for honors next year.

Like other have mentioned, should this go ahead the money Saracens would have to pay would be huge. Plus what has changed in the past 12 months for Sam and Joel to not want to be at Wigan after only just agreeing lengthy five year deals?

The posters on Mike's site are usually not wrong and say that Joel has signed for Saracens is a done deal and Wigan are being compensated .If true the alarm bells must be ringing through the whole of the RL.

If Joel or Sam did end up at Saracans then it's a fair bet a certain Wigan legend had a big part to play in the moves.

Fwiw though I don't see it. They've both got long term Wigan contracts and no disrespect to the people posting these rumours but I'm sure the odd paper would have picked up on these beforehand.

We'll have to deal with these rumours for the whole time they're at Wigan. If and when they decide to go we must try our best to make sure it's to the NRL even if we lose out on a transfer fee. Let the RFL pay us a fee for us helping to keep them in the game.
