Agreed. Would have suited our style very well. Makes bags of meters and very hard to stop close to the line.

Let's hope the rumours were not true and he have other targets in mind as it really is a priority position to fill.

A return for Burgess would probably be the ideal scinario but I'm not sure that is likely, Johnston is an exciting talent but personally I hope he stays where he is. I can't think of any other UK based wingman up to the standard required. Wing in the NRL does seem to be the position with the biggest talent pool so maybe now we are targeting someone from their, preferably who can kick a goal or 2.

Bowden has been excellent for Hull this year. He has arguably been our best forward, and thats no mean feat in Hull's pack.

I don't know whether you have a realistic chance of getting him whether the story has come about because Wane said he rates him and he's OOC, but Hull won't let him leave without a fight I'm sure.

He'd certainly wouldn't want to be relying on a lift off Ryan Sutton if he did sign for Wigan.

You have to hand it to Gelling, he seems to really enjoy life and he's a refreshing change from the robots sports now want to seem to produce.

I've just read that. It seemed to be presumed we were interested but you never really know. Another paper today reckons we're going after Denny Solomona with a cash offer but it also mentions Joe Burgess and Tom Johnstone so I think they're just hoping something sticks.

We certainly need somebody. There's a lack of cover in the outside backs already and that's before we lose two more.
