Hannant was exceptional in the WCC against Leeds. He's getting on a bit but that's what you call a prop forward.

In fairness to ours though I've been pretty happy alround. I actually think Mossop is going pretty well and Sutton and Tautai are in really good form. I would say our best two (Clubb and Flower) are the ones really yet to hit peak form yet although both have been solid enough.

I'd still love a Hannant style prop though.

He may be getting on a bit, but he's not past it, or the best team on the planet wouldn't have snapped him up like they did. Top, top player; he's impressed every time I've seen him this season.

Agree about Clubb and Flower, they don't seem to have pulled up too many trees so far.

Clubb in particular has been very average for me this year. But in the middle of an injury crisis it may well be that a few are playing busted.

Didn't Hannant get homesick playing for Canterbury? If so I don't think there's any chance of us signing him.

The only option we should be looking at is in the reserve grades of the NRL as there's too much money over there, the top players will never come over.

He looks like he's carrying a knock to me. He's never one to be taking drive after drive in but he does things at a great pace and at a high impact. He just seems short of top gear for some reason.

I said some time back, Charlie Gubb and Sam Lisone, If not them, players like that are the ones we should be targeting.

If the club is looking at a 'project' signing, they might as well get one from over here

Have to say, after a bright start, he hasn't been pulling up any trees at the Storm lately. That said, they are so dull to watch that I have trouble staying awake...

Hopefully today will serve as a wake up call for IL, SW and Radlinski to revise our recruitment strategy. We have promoted so much youth to replace our experienced players over the years and it will eventually take its toll. We need some experience and some ready made quality. Not Willie Isa's. Not project signings. Not solid players. Ready made experienced players who can come in and do a job for the first team like Wire have done with Chris Sandow and Kurt Gidley.

We need leadership, experience and quality to compliment the talented youth we do have.

We need our ten injured players back is what we need. I'll be the first to admit I think we should have done more in terms of retaining/recruiting over the past few years but ultimately we could have signed anybody and you'll still struggle with ten first teamers missing. If you asked me to name our best players in order I think positions 1 to 8 or even 9 would be taken by lads missing today.

62-0 is inexcusable even for a young side like we put out but unless the salary cap is extended no team will be able to deal with 10 injuries to first choice players.
