Playing well from what I have seen is Eden. He has had a year or 2 in reserve grade and doesn't look out of place in first grade.

Wouldn't particularly want him at Wigan however, especially when we have Hampshire, Tierney covering that utility role potentially.

I know we are losing 2 but I wouldn't be against us bringing 1 back in and using the cap money elsewhere.

Agreed. You would assume Carney and Charnley would be on roughly the same salary. You would also assume that some of Sarge's salary would go towards an improved contract for Gildart.

Thing is what other position would we spend on? Prop? Not likely when we have so many. Half-back? Smith is tied into a contract and Williams is "the future". Back row? No. Hooker? No. Bench hooker? Probably not as Powell is getting better and still young.

Ideally we need 2 props as mossop and crosby are simply not good enough

He only signed a one year deal didn't he? He's playing wider at Salford but he looks like he'd be comfortable in either position (prop or back row). He's explosive and I'd love to see him here but you feel he's a bit 'luxury' for the methodical approach we take.

Not for me. Doesn't make the hard yards, soft defence and a penalty machine (we don't need any more!).

There are loads of NRL props out of contract - Ben Hannant, David Klemmer, Sam Moa (although he allegedly rejected a massive deal from Leeds last year), Isaac Liu, James Gavet, Sam Tagataese.

Not saying we'd get any of them but it's worth a look surely.

I'd love us to make a bid for Sam Williams from Canberra. Great little half-back and loves playing RL. He played for Catalans for a season because St George dropped him. He's been dropped again now at Canberra for, albeit better halves but he'd be a great addition IMO.

Twice the guy his brother is. Of those props mentioned, Hannant looks easily the best, he would be brilliant but I couldn't see it.
