Isn't that the point he would be 4th choice at best on last years form at Wigan. Starting next year on the players we have in place again he would not get in our 17 but I think he would be a good one to have as back up. I agree he is better than Lauaki, but our front row next season will probably be -

Taylor probably our best Prop
Pettybourne ropey year last season mainly due to injury in pre season ( remind you of anyone) showed good form again in the World Cup.
Flower cracking mobile workhorse.
Dudson/Crosby both young and only going to get better.

Crosby for me baring injury will be a shoe in for England Knights next year. I expect him to be our bolter. He is big aggressive and is only going to get better and better.

At very very worst, he would be 3rd behind Taylor and Flower so he'd definitely make your 17 mate.

You really really cannot help yourself can you? Do you have nothing better to do than be on this board talking complete nonsense? Doesn't Red Vee have some topics you can contribute to? There's a Wigan thread on there, go troll that

Or maybe you can carry on with how we only won the Grand Final because Warrington had so many injuries  That's a classic, but I think even Wire fans have stopped with that now...

I've actually been having a very reasonable conversation with one or two Wigan fans on here all day. It appears you're the only one with the problem.

Great stuff.

Just to be clear, we don't have any need to clutch at straws to knock Saints. Everyone accepts you are a genuine contender next season, but we just don't find your pack frightening because we've got a very strong pack ourselves, with some great young players who are likely to be even better next season (and a captain that we wouldn't swap for any other player in SL).

You say it doesn't have anything to do with our squad but it does. We may win nothing next season, who knows, but with the squad we have for 2014 we should fear no one. There's just no need for desperate straw clutching!

Good post. Amazing what you can do when you're mature about it. ;-)

So Giraffe, you watch the NRL. You are a Saints fan that somehow is an expert on Amor and you think Amor is a better player than Pettyborne?

I have to question how much of either player have you actually seen. Honestly?

I have never claimed to be an expert on Amor mate, nor an expert on the NRL. I watch every Super League game on SKY, plus the highlights shows and then a couple of NRL games a weekend plus the highlights show of that as well. I obviously see players whenever they play Saints too. I also watched all of the World Cup.

Based on what I have seen, I would take Amor over Pettybourne, that is just my opinion. Obviously I haven't watched Pettybourne much but I can only go off what I have seen.

I posted some stats on Amor in response to you saying he doesn't make good yards. I was simply pointing out that he made more on average than all of the Wigan props.

I don't claim to be an expert on Amor or the NRL, I just give my opinion as I see it. Not everyone will agree, and most on here can't stand it as it tends to differ from the majority on here. I'm fine with that, it's other people who choose to have a pop every time I come on here (I don't include you in that). It's sad really.

SAINTS THE ORIGINAL AND PERENNIAL CHEATS

For sale full Saints kit (circa 1989). Shirts in pristine condition, but shorts badly soiled.

For 27 - 0 you get a trophy
For 75 - 0 you get sod all.

Wigan had eight in a row
Saints have five in a row
