Brough wanted to leave. Wakefield would have got nothing at all for him in 7 months time.

But all they'll have to show for it in seven months time is a little bit of cash and Korkidas, meanwhile by losing Brough in the middle of the year they've jeopardized this year and their chances of winning anything.

I personally think they'd have been much better keeping him until the end of the year giving them a chance to win something, and at the end of the year if they hadn't been able to renegotiate a new deal with him, they'd have then had some time to plan ahead and find an adequate replacement for him in 2011.

For all his so called quality hes now on his 4th SL club.

A player who doesn't want to be at your club can more than jeopardise your chances of winning anything, especially if he's your playmaker.

Thats what i've always thought, good player but there must be something about him that clubs dont want to keep him.

i think off top of my head he has been at HULL, CAS think they were a championship side which won promo to super league then he went to WAKEY on a free and now HUDDERSFIELD.LET us know if i am wrong

Didn't he play for York too?

Would have signed him based on his on field exploits but off field a total numpty by all accounts

He was rumoured to be going to saints a while back, I'm glad he didn't go there, he would of been a real thorn in our side!

I haven't yet understood the fuss with Danny Brough, but Nathan Brown is a smart coach and maybe I'll see something different in him that supports the hype he is getting at the moment.
