Charnley has been Wigan's third best winger this season for me - and by some distance.

It's a good job Burgess is off otherwise he'd have been out the 17 a lot more next season.

Without doubt.

I'd imagine Charnley is on a very good salary and that needs to be justified. He's not come close for a couple of years and it all feels a little stale.

It'd be great to see him come out all guns blazing next year but it may take a move to find that form again.

He needs to shift a stone in weight I reckon. A lightyear away from the performances such as his full lengther against Wire in the cup quarters a few years ago.

Too right, I've said the same myself. The difference between then and now is very noticeable.

He might not think he'll look as good modelling his t-shirts if he drops weight though!

Also Willis Meehan at 20 years old, 6ft 5 and 18st could be another 'work in progress' type signing.
