I'm not too sure mate. I'd like to think not as playing in the NRL is the pinnacle of a pro RL players career IMO and Hock certainly does not deserve that - but I'm sure that NRL player(s) who have been suspended in Aus for cocaine/drugs have come to play in SL.
In the past your probably right, but now I think our immigration have got different ideas. I recall that one of the NRL players recently was refused a visa cos he had driving offences in Aus.
I suppose not but unless the cocaine grew wings and flew up his nose then surely at some point he must of been in possesion of it
I know what you mean though
Thats the frustration of most serving police officers - it's blatently obvious he/she has been in possession at some point, whether it was a friend's or not but it cannot be proved that it belonged to that person or that person had it upon them.
Another loophole in the law IMO but that's an argument for another day
Its rife everywhere though pall, out of all my mates at least 3/4 have tried it, and in that band of friends there are
Doctors, Architects, Engineers, Teachers, Police Officers (not while serving) successfull business owners and not one of them doesnt have a job
Not exactly a chav group. People think its just for folk on the dole, but its so common place its untrue. I heard a chap telling someone on his mobile to buy a bag in Asda on wednesday night last week.
Surely then, by law of averages we should have a decent number of RLFANS posters who are also taking it?
Anyone going to admit to it?
Also, would you say it's an 'age' thing?
Neither myself, my mates, nor my close work colleagues take it (as far as I know), yet I've heard rumours of some of the younger ones at work (20-25 year olds) doing regular drugs on nights out.
I think a ban would apply to all sports, world wide.
Thats just in athletics I think, and then its down to the individual countries to impose. Look at chambers, he served his 2 year ban and then uk athletics still wouldnt let him run.
Im not naive enough to think so....out of my group of friends I would say that approximately 30% of them will do infrequently, however that is not every night......to say 80% of a given group of people at one time are coked up is ludicrous. Even though probably a third of my friends will have the occasional line on a night out it doesnt mean that they're all doing it every night!! out of your 3/4 friends do they do it every week?! No...so why do you presume 80% of wigan is.....its just exagerated 5hyte
Not everyone of them no, but 3 or 4 do, and one tragicly has a £250 a week habit, although its perhaps no shock that he dont get asked out with us much anymore, after a particular incident in a airport in Italy!
Personally, i think as soon as his b sample is positive, he should be sacked, and his registration held by the club, untill his ban is over, i honestly cant see him playing top flight again, for the same reasons others have posted!
