What a crazy situation involving these lot.

Chase on his day would waltz into any team in SL but now it's looking increasingly like he will end up in the back end of Wigan playing for our noisy neighbours

Hansen would have been a good addition if his position wasn't already well stocked and Patterson is easily top 4 class. The Centurions must be paying them a hell of a lot of money to drop a league. Fages would have been another decent signing but his position is also well catered for (you can't have them all)

Salford might just have finally found the balance now though. Getting rid of the 'Johnny come lately's' and building a side based on teamwork as opposed to individual ability. This could be the making of Salford if they are patient. If they had made this approach at the start they would have been a fair force now.

Leigh on the other hand. You do get the impression that if they don't go up next season they will implode financially. But before they do that i predict them imploding internally. A team with guys like Higham, Hock and Chase is destined for disciplinary failure. They will turn the club upside down. Couple that with the wages of, Moi-Moi, Hock, Hansen, Patterson, Higham and Chase and you have the perfect recipe - for disaster.

Wigan have been proved right to let him go and get Bateman, but if he was happy to feature when others are injured, I'd have him back.

As for Chase - brilliant on his day, but we will give Hampshire the chance to prove his worth before buying in another half back.

And we don't need a left centre for two years. You can already see the improvement in Gildart from the beginning of this season. Any more of that and he will be ready for next season, no danger. However right centre is different, like many others I'm not convinced that Gelling is the long term answer there.

Or anywhere in fact.

I enjoy his fleeting moments of brilliance, but his more regular moments of idiocy are becoming a bore.

Chase was also Leigh bound but I think it was dependant on getting in the Super League

The Paterson of Hull KR was a top 4 player,in the games I have seen him play at Salford he hasn't been that standard although I am suprised Hes dropping to the championship.

If it was a choice of only two then Hansen would be the pick, however this isn't the case, there are other alternatives, we don't have to retain Patrick or bring back Hansen.

Paterson is a flat track bully, he'll fit in well at Leigh. Chase seems to be toxic, Hansen seems to be happy to be an injury prone mercenary.

I was responding to the poster who said he would not have Hansen back.

I'd have thought we'd move for Hansen had there been a chance of getting him but as it stands I presume he's been offered another very good contract (that he wouldn't get here) with Leigh.
