SAINTS THE ORIGINAL AND PERENNIAL CHEATS For sale full Saints kit (circa 1989). Shirts in pristine condition, but shorts badly soiled. For 27 - 0 you get a trophy For 75 - 0 you get sod all. Wigan had eight in a row Saints have five in a row

The shirt on the right is probably what the St Helens Warriors will end up wearing when Whelan sells the DW for landfill once his plaything gets relegated from the Prem

I suspect I'm in a minority but I would have loved an update of the shirt we played in against Warrington in Milwaukee. We also played in a white V against Saints in '66?
Quality. I've wanted a shirt like this for a while. It's a break with tradition but is still a classic RL shirt design.

The above shirt does look good but I don't think any form of red vee would go down very well amongst many.
That's too much of a break from the norm for my liking, but it's still preferable to this year's offering.
I'm too much of a traditionalist to see why we'd need or want to go away from Cherry + White Hoops though I'm afraid.

Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery....... I will look to the moment, and miraculously, the future will take care of itself. It's been fun.
If Kooga/Wigan had wanted a modern shirt the best and simplest way would have been to go
Classic modern
This shirt being ALMOST the exact template
but instead of horizontal stripes they could have had diagonal, not drastically either, i'd say at an angle of about 30 degrees.
It's both different yet in keeping, you could have nicknamed it the barber pole shirt.

The England kit from the NZ game would have been fantastic. Obviously with the Wigan badge, kooga, and Applicado, it would have been a best seller, i'm sure of it. So simple, yet so effective and more importantly so Wigan!
As for stars over the badge, how about a star for every Championship/Challenge Cup double won. A rare achievement and very hard to accomplish. Whereas their is a World Club Challnge winner every single season, but their isn't a double winner.
We would have 6 stars. Off top of my head, i know Saints have done it 3 times, and Warrington at least once as Eddie told us about 47 times towards the end of last season when Wire had a chance of achieving it again.
