The stats back me up on this one. He’s got comparable numbers to other wingers like Blanch and Broughton who were playing in far worse teams. Lets not forget that although Hull FC weren’t great last season they still had enough to finish 6th in the league. When you compare him to other play off wingers like Hodgson and Hall he’s found serious wanting on all aspects.

Dismiss the stats all you want but sadly he’s neither standing out on my tv or on the screen.

I honestly can’t believe people are saying we should pay a transfer fee for him? That would be the biggest waste of money since Ritchie Myler.

Too right, keep him where he is?

Why would you want the best winger in SL, who has great defence, runs like a forward, offloads and scores trys that no other winger in SL can.

It would cost Wigan a lot of money to sign him, he may leave Hull in the future if we don't kick on, hopefully if he does it will to the NRL.

I rate him but NO WAY is he the best winger in Super League.

Meant to say English, he has potential to be as good as the ones named, would need to prove himself in the NRL though.

Saying that the three above don't score trys like Tom does, their all round game is maybe better though

He is a decent Super League player but not NRL standard yet they have some freakish backs down under and he doesn't compare to any of them.

Which highlights the difference between our comp and the NRL...I tend to agree he's probably the best English winger around, yet there are at least a dozen Aussies better than him.

Yes I do believe we are not that far from matching them in the forwards but you just have to watch the world club challenge and see how devastating Brett Morris was to realise they are in a different class when it comes to backs.

I really think that we should be looking at a young Australian half back currently plying his trade in France.

We did very well bring in in Dobson and a think that Scott Dureau is the next big thing in SL. His kicking game is A+ and he reads the game very, very well. Obviously his goal kicking would be a bonus.

Would imagine he would be cheaper than Chase if it came to paying a fee?.

In the past I have always thought that the GB wingers held their own against the Aussies; but in current seasons the Aussies are turning out wingers for fun Ferguson, Vidot, Inu, Meade, Morris, Earl etc just seem that bit faster and stronger with some exceptional skills to score tries that we do not see that often in SL.
