Conroy - Being a Latics fan i'm already immune to watching sh*te.
Sally Cinnamon - Treat the Saints forum as you would if you met a girl from St Helens. Best policy would be to avoid altogether but if you absolutely can't resist temptation then take every possible precaution.
Beer is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy. Fermentation may have been a greater discovery than fire. Work is the curse of the drinking class

As much as some people wont like it, IT IS good for us and the town that Latics have survived the drop this season. Congrats to them. Good for the town in general
Strange to hear Latics called Wigan. Cracking afternoon for the town and my pocket. I shall be taking the lady out tonight as I placed quite a bit on Latics at a nice price.
Followers of an evangelical broadcaster who declared that Saturday would be Judgement Day are trying to make sense of the failed prediction.
Some believers expressed bewilderment or said it was a test from God of their faith, after the day passed without event.
Meanwhile, the evangelist at the centre of the claim, Harold Camping, has not been seen since before the deadline.
He had predicted that Jesus Christ would return to earth on Saturday.
Some of the comments below are priceless:
My wife had made some rather lovely ham and cucumber sandwiches to eat on our journey to heaven. Now we will have to eat them at home - then un-pack our bags We are very disappointed.
Actually, he wasn't far off with his prediction, just a few days early. The end of the world is actually the 25th and is by a massive meteorite strike. For you non-believers, I am a member of the meteorological society and have charted its path on its last two passes. For all you believers, god told me it was going to happen but he's going to let you guys off because you show such gullibility.
I prayed yesterday to the Flying Spaghetti Monster to keep me safe and sound. I'm truly blessed as my prayer was answered. Peace!

A distinct lack of Latics threads and posts tonight. Where's that one from last week with people creaming themselves when the game was only at half-time?
Big Steve wrote: The Internet has provided some wonderful creativity, opportunities and knowledge sharing but it has also given a worldwide forum for people you would leave a full pint behind in the pub to avoid having to listen to them.
aboveusonlypie... If you don't bother to go to the game when you live in the locality then you are not really a fan and therefore your views are invalid. It's simple.
