He's their bench hooker - Henderson is massively underrated, one of (if not the) best hookers in the league.

The Catalans chairman feels like he can bully French players into signing low contracts due to the fact that there are no other SL teams in France. Pelissier is a far better player than Henderson but has been limited to ~15 minutes per match for most of this season so that his market value decreases and he will be forced to sign a lower deal. Sounds stupid but that's the way the chairman operates. Three other young French players have left the club in the past few weeks due to this treatment. Even Stevo was questioning why Pelissier was brought off so quickly after making such a big impact during Friday's match. Another factor is that the Catalans reserves hooker is the chairman's son, so if Pelissier does leave (very likely as he's extremely unhappy at present) then that opens up a spot for him.

Agree to disagree, he's not as good as Henderson.

He's a decent player though - if he's available I'd happily have him as Wigan's bench hooker next season.

He's a very good player. So he'd need a lot more game time than we can give him.

Isn't it true that he owns a restaurant? If so, he's unlikely to leave France anyway.

Why did we ever get rid of Goulding. Bridge is a solid player, but is barely fit and is a poophouse.

I've only seen it quoted on the MEN website so I'd by no means take it as gospel. The same article links us with Theo Fages who has supposedly handed in a transfer request at Salford.

Bridge is a very good centre and an even better Stand Off. His move to Stand Off coincided with Wire making a strong ending to the season. IIRC Wire battered Saints at Magic and Bridge was brilliant.

IF it is true then he can cover Centre and Stand Off, but he wouldn't be better than Gelling or Williams.

He's an experienced player who is a competitor, very much in the Wane mould.
