He definitely looks handy. Big lad with a nice turn off pace, looked like he can put in a brutal hit as well. Only thing is is that I'm always a bit wary of youtube videos if i haven't had much of a chance to watch a player; a decent editor can make even a Pettybourne out to be a worldie.

Have you had much chance to watch him in a few games? Just wondering what kind of minutes he puts in, whether he is keen to take the ball up, and if his overall defensive play is up to scratch.

I would be staggered if that was true ,it's definitely not Wanes policy to be buying old Aussies no matter how good ,I really hope the marquee signing isn't going to result in this

With SOL playing few games we are crying out for an old head amongst the pack. We are blessed with young forwards who will be the corner stone for years to come, add an expirenced prop and we will be looking good!

I'd love an experienced prop because I think SOL may call it a day either this season or next but I can't see it being Gallen he's had a few injuries himself

If we are looking for a replacement for SOL then I definitely think we would be better served looking within super league rather than scouring Australia for a big name replacement. Though we may have to pay a transfer fee I'd much rather see someone like Westerman come in, or if we aren't looking for a like-for-like replacement we could go for another prop and utilise a similar system to which Stains use with LMS (Adam Walker and Alex Gerrard spring to mind).

That said, Burgess would obviously be the dream choice but I'm not he would leave union just quite yet.
