Changing the subject slightly, i find it hard to beleive just how quickly some folk are to dissmiss Feka on a few poor performances this season. Give him time, he still has it in him to be a devastating impact player.

I'm not totally dismissing him but I think when you say he has it in him to become a devastating impact player that tells a story in itself. In all honesty I don't think maguire is interested in impact bench players. I think he wants the team to start at a high tempo both in attack and defence and then when players come from the bench they must maintain that standard.

I believe Feka will get fitter and stronger as the season goes on and he will be an important part of the squad but I just don't see him ever being Maguire's cup of tea on a long term basis. I believe he'll feel that his money could be spent better on another player with similar attributes to Coley and Fielden.

Hopefully Feka can prove Maguire wrong and alot of other people and totally transform his fitness, body shape and outlook on the game but I don't think he'll be quite able to do enough.

in all honesty other than the opening 5 minutes feka did not stand out in the reserves. Its going to be tough for him to break back into the first team a this rate

i wouldnt dismiss feka, but i do believe if we got rid of him we could bring in someone much better, especially for what MM wants. 5 mins here, and 10 mins there for feka really has an effect on fielden who is having to play much more time. im not sure on the exact amount of play time, but i would hazard a guess that at bradford fielden had played much more than we would have wanted him to, possibly resulting in him being poor in defence.

One of the reasons I have defended Stuart Fielden over the last few seasons is that he has not had another real grafting prop to complement him. It was a big loss for Wigan when Scott Logan left early as he was that big no nonsense prop.

It's no coincidence that Fieldens performances have improved with Coleys improvement alongside having O'Carroll and Mossop back in the side. The graft is being shared around more.

Feka still has a role to play, and I'm hoping that the drier pitches will suit him.

I will probably get slated for this but i reckon we should make a move for Kevin Brown if Brough goes to Hudds, hes been on fine form recently and living up to the hype of his early wigan career, i reckon him at 6 and tomkins at 7 would be worth a shot.

Mark Gasnier: The noises coming out of Australia seem to suggest he's homesick and is looking to head back down under. The Melbourne Rebels rugby union club are hoping to sign him.

Crusaders very close to signing Schifcofske and Penrith's Jarrod Sammut.
