Sigh. As I hoped I'd made clear, my experience was not as fortunate as yours. And I'm not the only one. Sure there are some people complaining about season tickets. But that's not all of it. It's just muddying the waters to suggest so. Plenty of people have had issues obtaining Saints and Sheffield tickets. The fact that you appear not to be one of them, is not the point.
I never said it was the only issue, but there are plenty of people across multiple channels who are complaining about nothing.
As bad as your situation is, we've sold 7k tickets via the portal. That's gotta be a high % of fans who can and are using the system.
Likewise, I've seen people complaining on the other site and on social about STH being able to buy up to 4 tickets. Whilst they could do that, it wasn't as simple as every STH going in and getting four to dish out to their mates.
For all the bad (which isn't acceptable), it needs to be tempered to say it is, in part, working.

I'd say yes and no to this, but thats basically because its what i do for a job, and there is no way i would have gone live with the issues that appear to be inherent in the system. Basic one appears to be missing data i.e. ST holders
however, on a positive note i am not a season ticket holder and wasnt able to buy a ticket for Saints away, so there are some controls in place and working
And, i think in support of one of your earlier arguments, we should be celebrating the selling out of an away match (i know GF at Saints should sell out every year we play there) but in the last 18 months, we've had Leigh, Warrington, Salford all with record home gates when Wigan have travelled there

Yeah, we certainly won't be winning any awards for the project. Something so fundamental to the club i.e fans accessing tickets needed to be 99/100% right (if such a thing is possible).
My OP was just an update to say that, obviously, parts are working as intended. Even if non STH aren't happy they can't get tickets. Also, for those fans, whose only gripe is that they haven't got their ST ticket yet - it isn't a big deal. Others are having real issues however, that's also certainly a fact.
Bought my GF tickets (x2) in person as soon as they went on sale. Me and my lad who's also a season ticket holder.
Can i just clarify something on those season ticket holders who managed to purchase online? When allocating up to three other people did they have to also be season ticket holders ie, you needed to link their client code?

I think that’s right you could by 4 tickets if they were also ST holders, and have their clients code. I couldn’t by online my mate went in person and got one for me using my code.

OK cheers, so whilst it's 'technically possible' that you could purchase tickets for non-season ticket holders (by using a code from a non attending season ticket holder) then its "highly likely" that the "vast majority" of the Saints Away end will be attended by current season ticket holders.

I bought two and it wouldn’t let me check out until I’d entered a valid code and name for the second ticket, assume it would be the same for anyone buying the full four
As much as some traditionalists may not want it, I definitely think there's an argument to move the Good Friday fixture to a bigger stadium and really push it. If both teams got a home fixture against each other later in the year through loop fixtures I think it would be worth the gamble to trial it if it stacked up financially.

Lots of comments on social media from disgruntled supporters accusing season ticket holders where they have been allowed to get away with a 'free for all', buying tickets for mates/family or even selling them on for financial gain.
I wonder how many of these disgruntled supporters were at Salford on Thursday night?
