We played the Challenge Cup game away at Wakefield on the Sunday the day after you played Catalans.

I think Woolf has got this one right. Having played us and Catalans (twice) and coming out on top on all 3 occasions he'll be thinking that this season is all about getting as many of his first 17 players on the field as possible for the big games. I'm pretty sure he would happily sacrifice the LLS if absolutely necessary to facilitate this. A nothing mid season game against Cas is little more than an afterthought. It'll count for little come the end of the season.

Tommy confirmed as being out for a number of months. They’re not exactly sure yet how long he’ll be but he’s torn a ligament in his knee (not his cruciate though, so it doesn’t sound season ending).

You've got form for this. I wonder if Long has put a few quid on Castleford, or any of the current squad I bet if it had been a home game all those players wouldn't have been rested

If this game impacted on promotion or relgation then I would maybe agree. Unless there is a 100 point swing we'll still be on top on Monday morning.

If Peet chose to do the same then fair play. No-one has had the turnaround we have and again on the back of Catalan A in the Cup.

A squad is resting 3 or 4, not everyone. Pretty sure we got slated for doing it against you in the covid season.
