I have been surprised at how poor he has been.

At Hudds he used to punch holes all over the place.

As NK mentioned, the firmer pitches will help. Playing 50% of his games on marsh land will not help.

People keep saying this, but we have to accept, firmer pitches will benefit our opponents too, enabling them to play better footy.

I agree I can't believe how Patrick is anywhere near the 17 he's crap just because he played well for a different team with different players and structures doesn't mean he will play well for us

Wasn't that before his new deal though?

He's not worth an outlay like that due to his injury issues but he is a fine player and would have been worth taking a punt on a free at the end of the season.

Not sure, maybe Wigan upped the cash offer and player quality. He bossed it against Saints the other night and after watching the Williams/Smith combo for a short while now I find it hard to see when they're going to click.

Obviously the Campese rumour is put to bed,although I think Wigan could have been in for him due to the early timing of his contract extension.
