Why are you persisting that the Roby incident was part of some vendetta in response to Fozzard's dirtiness? You seem to imply that O'Meley targeted Roby in Fozzard mode as some sort of payback and Roby was a selected victim.



O'Meley isn't dirty - he doesn't need to be - he's one of the hardest players I've ever seen. If O'Meley is cited I'll be staggered. The hit was fair from where I stood and the reaction of the players around bears this out. There was no indignation and certainly no retaliation like you'd expect if the Saints players saw anything untoward.



Roby mucked up his tackle attempt and accidentally met O'Meley's shoulder. The injury was sustained when he cracked his head on the ground. No premeditation, no "plan" against him, no foul play. Hope he recovers quickly.

Second, I still don't see how felling Roby can be justification for Fozzard felling others. It's like murdering a passer by because they happen to be from the same town as a serial killer. Not sure the police would be sympathetic to a claim of justifiable 'pay back' really. But I don't expect gooners to appreciate such subtleties.
