Hope we're in for Luke Bailey. I've read Saints fans saying they've signed him but at the end of the day nobody really knows. He would seem exactly the type of prop that Maguire would go for. He's hardworking, tough and has a great attitude by all accounts. Going off what Mr Lenagan said at the fans forum it was Maguire that didn't want the club to sign guys like Webb or O'Meely(more injury concerns with him then form) but I see no reason why he wouldn't want us to be in for Bailey.

A very good player but has had his fair share of serious injuries. I know that can be an occupational hazard in the front row, but he does seem to pick up more than most. Just a thought....

He seems to have been pretty injury free over the past couple of seasons though hasn't he?

I don't know for sure but he always seems to have been available for selection for NSW and Australia.

2001 - Torn Pectoral ended season.
2003 - suspected fractured vertebrae turned out to be a recurring problem. Another seperate injury kept him out of that years Aussie tour.
2004 - Tore the pectoral again. Ruled out for entire season.


But yeah, as you say, seems to have been much better in recent seasons. Maybe he was just unlucky in his early career. It happens.

I'm sure if we do go in for him Lenagan is bright enough to have us covered incase of any majory injuries.

He's a fine player thats for sure.

It's the first thing i've heard of in regards to Brough and an attitude problem.

As far as I’m aware he’s no angel like 90% of players in SL but he’s never been known as trouble or a disruptive influence.

He maybe full of himself but then again it’s something I like to see in a HB as it gives them the confidence to try some daring plays or something different. Brough certainly has the talent to back it up and that’s all I’m concerned with.

Wigan would be mad to miss out on him as he’d improve our team no end.

If he comes over in 2011 that will be 7 years since his last major injury and that's a record i'm sure many including Wigan would be happy with that sort of gamble.

i was under the impression he is notorious for it. kear seems to have been able to guide him but i would defo want us to think carefully about brough.
