Really bad news for the club and Superleague in general if true.Dont blame him for wanting to test himself in the NRL but I would have liked him to stick around until his mid twenties.

Who will he replace in that team though? They have two young world class wingers already.
I'd like Wigan to let us know about Burgess & Taylor soon its just dragging on.

Tuivasa-Sheck is moving to fullback by all accounts to take Minichello's position.

Sheck, Tupou and Burgess as a back three is quite frightening!

That's a real blow.
When the NRL can walk in and sign up 19/20 year olds then we are in trouble.
RFL/SL have to do something to retain our best players.

What young lad of 20 wouldn't want to go and live in one of the nicest countries in the world with probably the best climate and play at the highest level? The successes of the Burgess bros and Graham will have done more to tempt him as well. They're now well-known around the world.

What more can The RFL do? You could pay some of these guys £50k more a year but the aforementioned qualities makes it a no-brainer.

What a great few days we've had. Lose a grand final, lose a player for 6 months, lose the most exciting young British talent in the last 10 years.

that a bit of an overstatement. burgess is good, but to say he is "the most exciting young talent in ... 10 years" is pure nonsense.
Charnley ? Sam ? Clark ? Hall ? even Hardaker ! ... and thats just 10 secs thought

it is a great loss to Wigan and SL though, but at least he would be improving his game and potentially making England/GB a better prospect for the next World Cup (as opposed to taking the RU shilling)

The RFL/SL have to do something.
Wigan can afford to keep him financially but not under the salary cap rules.
The whole game needs exceptions to the SC. Either Marquee players, club trained players etc.
Ridiculous that nothing is done when we are losing all this talent.
