Totally agree.

If we were to keep our talent rather than see them leave a back line featuring the likes of Tomkins Charnley and Burgess would have been fantastic. I often wonder how Ashton would have developed as a player if he stayed in League with Wigan.

The problem is some if the younger lads will always leave as the lure of the NRL is simply too great. Money, lifestyle, the can ace to play in the best league in the world will for some be too much to resist and I for one can't blame them.

Until we get the sport right in this country which doesn't look like happening anytime soon it will be a fact us fans will have to deal with.

I'd have Makinson, he's a class finisher. I just wouldn't be too happy over shipping Charnley to bring him in.

Don't think it's a case of shipping Charnley. but signing Makinson as a replacement to a departing Charnley who's elected to go to Union.
