Taylor for Crooks and cash would be a good bit of business as I really rate Crooks and think he could really develop in the right systems but only if we have a quality, experienced Prop to replace Taylor.

MM and Locky are very much our pack leaders, you would imagine Joel will develop into that role as he gets games under his belt but we need leader in one of the 4 props we use on a match day. Flower could well develop into that role and when he turns up he is outstanding but I feel we need an older head in there, I feel we need this even if Taylor stays to be honest.

I agree, I don't think Crosby, Flower, Tautai, Clubb, Pettybourne and Dudson as senior props with Sutton, Greenwood etc as back-up is enough. I would have loved Taylor to stay but whatever the situation is it looks like he really wants to move back to Hull, so good luck to him. I would like to see us bring in another experienced prop and let Dudson go tbh.

No idea how credible this is, but on the scale of things it appears the best outcome for all parties. We need a centre, Taylor by all accounts wants to move to Hull and Hull want him, but Wigan quite rightly want a fee.

I'd take that if true. It seems apparent he'll be going either this season or next, we need a centre IMO.

'If' he does indeed want out to go to Hull then to get Crooks in exchange is a must IMO. I'd be sad to see Taylor going but we'd at least be getting in one potential international player for another and in a position we're possibly more in need.

One player I think we need to see far more consistency from if Taylor goes is Dom Crosby. It's rocks or diamonds with Crosby this year. When he's pumped up he's outstanding. He's big, aggressive and has a great engine but he seems to follow up a big performance with a powderpuff effort.

I'm not knocking him either, I think he's a potentially top class forward.

The Crooks to Wigan for Taylor deal has been on the Hull board for the last couple of days and the overwhelming majority of posts by Hull fans is "get the deal done".
A lot are saying that the reason Crooks has been frozen out for most of this season is "an attitude problem", it is also rumoured that Crooks is Parramatta bound.
If the former is true and the latter wrong can Waney sort him out ?, because the season before last and early last season before getting injured he looked class.

It has been announced on the the Leigh board that Sam Hopkins is out for the season (he is to have a shoulder operation), the Leigh fans are saying it is sad because he has been immense these last few weeks. If it is true that Taylor is finished at Wigan it would be interesting to see if Wigan would try and get Hopkins back for next season, even though it is said that Wigan have loaned him to Leigh for next season. Crazy situation, Wigan sign a player for what was said at the time to be a significant fee then loan him out for a couple of seasons.

We would all be regreting it if Taylor leaves but this rumour has been around for so long that I for one accepted a while ago he wouldn't be here come 2015.
We have Tautai arriving and Greenwood returning.
Both are around 6'3" and Greenwood is now 23 and played a full year in SL.
Taylor will be missed as he was very good, when SW had him play from the bench he stopped the drop in intensity that happened when he started a game then came off.
With those two next year plus Joel who will be up to speed by then we will have a pack with quite a bit of size about it.

How many half backs do they want?
Myler, Ratchford, O'Brien, often Bridge.
Rumours around that Wire are interested in Hock, now Brough, would Smith tolerate either of these two?
