I suspect the latter is the major factor, and if they're trying to play hardball to force down the price I hope IL tells them to shove it. Obviously I don't know what Wigan want or what Hull are offering, but even with only a year on his contract a 24 year old in the England ETS has to command a decent transfer fee.
Finding a suitable replacement would also be a problem, because other than someone like Hill, Walmsley or George Burgess, who are all completely unrealistic, who else is around of a similar age and quality? Larne Patrick is the only one I can think of, but even he would take a bit of work in pre season to bulk up to play prop exclusively after being used quite often in the backrow by Hudds. Mossop could come back at some point but injuries seem to have got the better of him now.
