I must say the blurb that Adam Pearson has come out with today in regards to future signings, is very ambitious. All this talk of not being scared to pay transfer fee's and only looking for the creme de la creme of players. Be interesting to see who Hull FC end up with.

My sisters boyfriend was talking to Ian Lenegan at the game on saturday.
They're looking at 2 stand offs, from England. Obviously didn't name any names.
No aussie signings this year unless they're cheap and young.
George Carmont definitely retiring, his body is knackered.
Finchy on the verge of retiring.
Joe Mellor is staying at Widnes, I presume Stefan Marsh is as well.
Sam is definitely staying at fullback.
I've also heard Pat Richards could be signing for Sale.

Saints are after a stand-off aswell. Nathan Brown does not want Hohaia in the halves next year. Hopefully Gaskell gets first go at Saints but from what I hear they are looking externally aswell.

That worries me slightly. I think to replace Finchy we need an experienced 6 and I don't see any that fit the bill in England. Gaskell would be an OK signing in the long term I guess, but you have to ask why he has been nowhere near the Saints side this season even with Hohaia at 9.

I said all along I'd be more than happy with Smith coming in as long as either Finch stayed or we brought in a top quality 6 for him to play alongside. From that list Chase is the massive stand out, regardless of what people think about his attitude or whatever. Next you'd say maybe Green (not seen a lot of him but I think he's pretty inconsistent), Gaskill (can't get in the Saints team), Holdsworth (not convinced) and possibly Sarginson (we have our own youngsters coming through who he'd take a spot from).

Any of that list with the exception of Chase is going to leave us with a massive reduction in quality from the halves IMO.

Sarginson would be a cracking signing, but not at standoff. I think he could go great guns at centre.
