The club has announced the initial allocation has sold out, a further allocation is expected but no info on this yet. Seems a bit of a shambles, why only give Wigan 8k? Surely we should have got 20k minimum? I also think based on the anticipated low crowd they should be looking to sell out the bottom 2 tiers first to make it look better on the eye and create a better atmosphere.
This is pure speculation, but I wonder if the allocation is anything to do with the text that was going around at the start of last week? Not sure if anyone else got it, but I know had it forwarded to myself a couple of times. You could book category 5 tickets using the code bld30 and basically get them for free (you just paid for posting). When I originally checked they were for the end we've now been allocated.
I'm sure plenty of people booked via this method. Not sure if they'll turn up to the actual game, as it's a free ticket etc but it will have definitely have eaten into the amount available.

Due to high demand on the first day of sales, our initial allocation of tickets has sold out.
A further allocation is expected and further information will be shared when these are available.
Not helpful to anybody queueing up for a 9am opening time.
Update:
Due to high demand on the first day of sales, our initial allocation of tickets has sold out. A further allocation will be available at the DW Stadium Ticket Office and Online from approximately 2pm this afternoon (Monday 9th October).

And if anyone is thinking of phoning for tickets, because they STILL haven't released anything to the ticketing website - Once you get past the engaged tone (they only have 30 lines), the queue time is around 2hrs.
I went to the TO at about 2.30. They only had behind the goals. I don't want that for a big match. There must be 30,000 seats on the two sides at OT. How about sending a few to Wigan, RFL? Still, I got a coach ticket. And at this rate I may not use it.
As Catalans get stronger each year and are challenging for trophies you'd like to hope that their fans are at least budgeting for travelling over to the UK for finals. I don't expect them to come in large numbers for standard league matches but cup finals should be better attended, whether that be 3,4 or 5,000+ Yes there's limitations on flights..etc, but French football and RU teams can manage it so it is possible.
