Sounds like this could become a bit of the farce already with the 5 Huddersfield players out, Field and Connor missing too.

Let’s not make this a Wigan v Saints debate. ALL clubs, players, coaches and of course the RFL are responsible for creating an international setting that us fans can fully invest in and support.

I consider myself to be a passionate Rugby League supporter and I don’t even know if I will watch on Saturday. It’s not even crossed my mind to attend the game. That in itself is sad.

We’ve ended up with a half-baked England side playing against a load of strangers cobbled together this morning plus any English lads not deemed good enough for England.

It’s a mess.

Add another to the list.

I've said for a few years that we need to bring the roses game back and stick with it. Let it grow, rather than dropping it after 2 years, and make it a trial for the England squad. We need a game that means something.

Same problem will arise though that clubs will pull players out so we end up in the same situation. Probably better just having an England v England A game behind closed doors.

Ahh, makes sense now.

Tough on the Wigan and Huddersfield players. The small teams that keep beat in the semi finals have already had a weekend off so there players should be up for selection.


Hope some Mallorca sun does Fields hamstring good

Never really rated him and then thought he was excellent on the GB tour. Haven't been impressed since.

Well despite all the scepticism and predictions, Saints more than played their part with 5 England players in the 17 for England.

Whatever happened last year happened and with the maximum quota per club, we only had Lomax and Knowles pull out.

Percival was injured and didn’t play against HKR last week.

Certainly can’t blame Woolf this time.
