Thornley is a big unit who runs hard. We use him like that he will be very effective. He isn’t ever going to be the star flair player but if we use him as we seem to be at the moment I think he will be a very useful asset.

In fairness we still need to see more of KPP at centre to make sure it’s a long term option, especially in proper games against experienced centres. The signs are very positive so far, in fact the only thing he probably needs to work on is just being a bit more patient at times and not trying to force things. He’s physically going to be a nightmare for some centres.

Mago looking like he might give us a decent starting point in attack with his offloads.

We're actually looking good in attack today.

Found a player with Mago if he keeps his form up of these two friendlies. I expected yards but his skills are exceptional.

Sadly, I doubt it.

This guy seems to just be making it up as he goes along (although we're not helping ourselves, either)

And why on earth do we still not seem to have a single player who's capable of making the kick for a conversion?

Bit harsh in these conditions, let’s judge after a month or so.

Very pleasing performance even with the ref trying to levelling it up and us chucking on the kids at the end.

Very enjoyable.

It's that early days that you can't really say that it's early days, but it looks like we've got our recruitment right. Plenty of size and Cust took a good couple of options on the last too.

Hopefully it transfers into the season as we've got a tough start.
