If Sam was unsettled I don't see why NZ Warriors would let Locke leave for Salford. The club would obviously know about any issues Sam may be having and would surely edge their bets?

Also on a less serious note Sam Tomkins has just bought a new dog (as seen on twitter) so he seems to be planning a stay of more then one season

Whilst I trust the source and believe that what he's heard came from a trusted source at the club I'm not ready to put money on it yet.

I've been told by a past players mum that Tomkins is having good days and bad days in NZ. He is in contact with Wane and Radlinski quite regularly just like Joel Tomkins was. The chances of Tomkins coming back to Wigan at the minute are ridiculously small unless something drastic changes. Realistically do you believe Tomkins is going to give up on the NRL after playing half a season because he isnt fully settled yet? I think every Wigan fan wants Tomkins to come back but realistically it wont be anytime soon until he has given the NRL a good crack.

Heard a whisper last night that Sydney Roosters are courting Ryan Sutton into a 2 year move with a third year option.

Good move for the kid imo.

If you are going to be on the fringes of a first team then it may as well be an Australian one. He's probably going to be better paid, he'll be playing at a better reserve team standard and he'll get to experience oz at an early age.

I think he was destined for a loan move next season much like Greenwood this year. You can't blame him really.

From a Wigan POV I guess it just frees up a bit more room for Greenwood to push his way into the side next year. I've been impressed when ever I've seen him play.

I agree, he'll be 19 next season and even if we lose a couple of props as rumoured he would still be unlikely to be a first team regular. Playing in the lower grades over in Aus will be much better for his personal development than being on loan at a lower SL club or on dual reg with Workington. From a club perspective we need to make sure we have first refusal to make sure they come back to us when they return to the UK.

Summed up perfectly.

For me our pack next season is shaping up nicely. I truly believe that we have potentially the best pack in the comp next season. That being said I really hope we are pushing as hard as possible to either resign Taylor or make an inspired signing like Patrick. I also hope we are looking at a back up hooker.

The props next season with Taylor are a formidable group and all have thier best years ahead of them - Taylor, Flower, Eddy, Tautai, Clubb & Greenwood.

Backrow - Faz, Joel, Lockers, Bateman & Hughes is simply top draw with 4/5 being international class.

Really the only weakness is the lack of a backup at 9. I'd hope the club are looking at the Toyota Cup for a young Maori hooker with a turn of pace as I can't see anyone in SL who we could sign.

Did anyone hear Marwank on the radio the other day. He seemed pretty confident about his marquee signing scheme going through. He also said that if it did he would announce a huge signing the next day. I never know how much hype to believe.
