In all seriousness I think your right. We should be having a look about to see if we can find a young Inga, Iro, Lauititi etc out there somewhere. We should be looking about in all sorts of areas really.

I'm all for us bringing young lads through but at times we'll have to bring in players from outside the club and they don't always have to be household names.

We're keeping our end up for rugbyleague in terms of bringing young, English players through so we shouldn't feel embarrassed to look outside of the club or overseas for players.

Same could be said regarding French/Irish RL/RU players , get a scout to go over and weigh them up, maybe get a few young lads on trial and take it from there, you never know.

Ps - Can I sign up to be one of the scouts please? Doesn't matter which country

Martin Offiah was a little known Union player when Widnes signed him wasn't he?

Look how that one turned out! We seem to have gone away from trying to find players from different countries and backgrounds in favour of just signing players from top flight League only here and in Australia.

Why not have a scout round Rugby Union 2nd teams, National League 1 and 2, The NZ rugby League competition. To be fair though Lenagan has said he wants to improve our scouting so maybe they're the sort of areas we'll start looking in again.

Shenton never stands out for me in games where I have watched except once or twice, but he gets through some great yards ball in hand and some belting defence... consistant performer and is without doubt the type of player I want to see in a Wigan shirt once Gleese and George are hanging their boots up.

LMS (as its religiously typed on here) is a exciting young prop and once I would prefer to have in the seventeen than O'Carroll and maybe even Prescott. Makes good yards, and knows where the tryline is aswel.

Brough rumours again? But yeah another player would fit right in when Deacs retires at the end of the season - great running game, leads Wakey around the park very well and has a terrific kicking game - great rugby brain.

All 3 would be warmly welcomed to the squad next season Mr IL.

Brough would be the main target out of all of them for me.

He'd be the perfect foil for Sam and the two would, IMO, make the best HB pairing in SL. He's gotta be at the top of our list.

Brough reminds me of Sean Long in his pomp. He can run, pass, kick and come up with big plays at important times.

I'd love to see him at a really big club wheather it be Wigan, Leeds or Saints to see what he can do.

On form he'd be my no7 for England.

Agreed mate, Was quite gutted when I was reading that Saints were after him last year to replace Long.

Saints look to have plumped for Eastmond at 7 for the long term now so I doubt them going for him. After that the likes of Leeds, Bradford, Hull, Warrington etc won't go for him anytime soon due to already having scrum halfs on long-ish contracts.

Is Brough out of contract at the end of 2010?

If he is i'd love to see us make a move as a replacment for Deacon(if he does retire).

Brough is OOC and it does seem from the outside looking in Trinity are resigned to loosing him. His destination is unclear. Hudds are widely tipped as a destination or have been discussed for some time.

Yeah Huddersfield must be favourites. They've been chasing him for a while and it will help there chances with them being a Yorkshire club.

I'd hope we're looking at the situation though. I honestly believe he's top quality and could be a star of a player for us. If he is available and we could get him we could always move Deacon into the coaching set up fulltime.
