Heard a little whisper that an Antipodean signing could be on his way over this season, no name though (yet). Anyone else in the know heard anything?

Not heard a thing but would be interested to know what position and if they can kick goals?

On another note whilst I have been really impressed with Matty Bowen I do wonder if we would give him another year or not? He must of been one hell of a player in his prime.

Bowen was easily out best player last night and you'd have to think he's worth the extra year. We said exactly the same last night that in his prime Bowen would have been scary over here. He very nearly walked through Saints on a few occasions last night but was just collared. In his prime he'd have waltzed through.

He looked our only hope at points last night so I'd be loathed to lose him.

It really depends if Bowen wants the extra year, because I think he was absolutely gutted when we were knocked out of the cup. It seems to be the ambition of most Aussies to play at Wembley.

I'd really hope that the club are pulling out all the stops to keep Bowen for another season (there's a year option in his contract but I think it's in his favour). I'm a big fan of Hampshire and think he's already ready for the 6 shirt (would have had him there last night) but FB is such an exposed position defensively that 2016 is the earliest I'd be happy with him playing there full time.

Todd Carney's allegedly been sacked by Cronulla after a picture of him performing a lewd act at a urinal surfaced on Twitter.

A player with the X Factor we are sorely lacking at the moment. Worth a short-term contract while he gets his head together away from the Sydney media?

I never understand the argument that Hampshire could be exposed in defence at fb but is ready to defend in the line at 6. He'd be targeted due to his size and second rowers would try to get one on one with him, he'd need to make about 10 tackles a game at FB compared to 20 or more at 6. I'm quite happy with Powell at 6 with Rocky eventually taking over at 1.

The one player they aren't in for! He seems to have serious off-field issues with alcohol so I'm not sure that I'd want us to be in for him. Especially as we have quite a few promising lads coming through in the halves
