"Games as big as a grand finals define individuals and clubs. Remember we are only renting these shirts, I had my time in Pat Richards shirt. Ellery and Faz had there time in Sean's, Hampo and Radders in Sam's. You have to make a mark in these shirts that's still there the day you hand it over to someone else. So be aware for 80 minutes you are not only playing but also writing history and creating a legacy. How many people get to actually write history, not many. A big stage demands big players, be inspired. You play for Wigan, now go do it. Good luck." - Martin Offiah, 2010.

Fwiw I agree but Tuson is OOC this season thus it would happen.

Didn't realise he was. You think we'll release him? I think he's distinctly average and doesn't offer anything creative in attack. He doesn't run the sort of lines that Farrell and Hughes run therefore his whole attacking game is stagnant in my opinion. We have young Greg Burke in the reserves and Crosby and Lloyd knocking on the first team door who are younger and more importantly better prospects than Tuson. Think he could forge a good career at a lesser side like Widnes or Salford and do a good job. Unfortunately, I feel he'll stay because Wane favours him

I've seen them bomb a quarter final, bottle a semi final, finish as league leaders, but I've still, never, seen the Wire win the league
Doom and gloom, doom and gloom

if he will take the right offer from us then keep him - the leeds game a week or two back showed the importance of depth.

I'd sign Tuson back on. Granted he isn't spectacular like Farrell but he is a solid steady player who will do all the unseen stuff like a Coley or a Cassidy used to do.

Every squad needs players who you can stick on to do a job and not have to worry about. I see Tuson in that role.

Hughes has really impressed me these past couple of weeks. He must be applying great pressure for Tuson's bench spot, once everyone returns fit and ready.

I agree. Hughes' performance against Catalans was excellent and better than anything Tuson has produced so far this season. I know that Tuson often doesn't get much chance to shine during matches but even when he's started games he hasn't necessarily stood out. Hughes also has the added benefit of being able to cover at centre.

If it was a choice between Tuson and Hughes, while appreciating the hard work that Tuson does in defence, I'd go for Hughes every time.

Hughes looks to be a cracking prospect and has a better frame to work with than Tuson.

Hughes looks to be the natural heir apparent to Hock long term.

I think the same. Hughes seems to be a natural in that position of left side second row and with his size, decent pace, his ability to run good lines and throw a good offload he's got all the skills necessary to be a quality player.

Tuson's worth another contract IMO. We've seen how important strength in depth in the forwards is.

Thought he was older than that. Regardless, we have better talent in the ranks to have to keep him
