Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery.......

I will look to the moment, and miraculously, the future will take care of itself.

Radio 5 Live, Sat, April 14th, 2007,...Dave Whelan, "In Wigan, rugby will always be king"

'I was certain, positive, convinced, and yet..........unsure'

'It's only rock 'n' roll, but I like it'

Worry will not prevent destiny from unfolding.

Goulding is the best centre at the club at the moment. Sarge and Gelling are still way off from on an on form Daz Goulding. Charnley scored 40+ tries last season playing outside of him. Good signing for Salford if true. Sarge still has some work to do defensively and Gells is still raw, although improving.

Scott Taylor leaving would be a big loss. The best prop at the club IMO. Future England international and I would love him to stay and be the cornerstone of our pack for years to come. Hope the rumours aren't true!

Blake Green is absolute class. Very astute signing from Wane/Radlinski/Lenagan. I would sooner keep Green than Bowen and allow Hampshire to develop at fullback with him eventually moving to halfback when/should Green go.

Correct. These 3 have been mainstays of our side for the past few seasons. Losing these 3 combined with the departures of the last few seasons leaves us awfully weak looking at the moment.

Taylor dropped from the squad today certainly makes it look like he is leaving. This is especially after I was told some weeks ago that Goulding was dropped for the Leeds game after telling the club he was leaving.

Wigan fans have a chance to see one of last seasons signings who maybe would have been useful in the crisis we have seemed to have had in the forwards department these last few weeks.

Sam Hopkins is in the Leigh squad for tomorrows match against Leeds.

For sale full Saints kit (circa 1989). Shirts in pristine condition, but shorts badly soiled.

IF he gets his head and attitude right he could be a very good player.

I've heard rumours of Goulding, Powell and Taylor all leaving at the end of the year and none of the three have been selected for our biggest game of the year.

Makes you wonder.

Phil Wilkinson on twitter reckons Powell is injured but the other two aren't. Definitely looks like we're preparing for the future without them. Neil Barker from the MEN reckons Goulding and Dudson could both be Salford bound.

Losing Taylor is a big disappointment, I was delighted when we signed him and he's really kicked on. Could easily be one of the best props in SL over the next couples of seasons. He must have his reasons but if he compares his medals at the end of his career to some of the other current Wigan players he may live to regret this decision. Hull are obviously ambitious but atm they're not even close to troubling the playoffs, they're not going to become a top 4 club overnight.

Goulding is replaceable. I thought he was excellent in 2012 but he's steadily declined since then and now Gelling, Thornley and Sarginson all offer more, particularly in attack.

I'm not sure how anybody can claim we are going to be left short with these departures when we don't know what our own recruitment for 2015 is going to be.

Taylor may or may not be going, but him being dropped has nothing to do with it.

IF Taylor leaves there are very players we could bring in who would fill the gap of left by possibly the best young English prop outside of the Burgess brothers.

I really do think that in 8/10 years he could be at the Peacock level.

When Taylor signed two years ago on a 2 year contract with an option of a further year in the clubs favour I said at the time something was not quite right. My point was if a club signs a young player and pays a significant fee for him you expect a contract of more that 2 years and with it only being 2 years it shows the reluctance of the player to sign for longer.
Hence the Club having an option of a further year to cover their backs.

At the time I was shouted down on this forum, I am not going to look for my posts and replies from 2 years ago but I know what I posted and the reaction I got.
