I read that yesterday on the SMH website and the first thing I thought was let's try and get Sa'u in. I've not seen much of him recently but he was excellent for the Kiwi's a couple of years back and is a bull of a player.

He'd go well over here I reckon.

he has been poor for the last 2 seasons and im not really surprised he is being offloaded, unfit, slow, no leg drive, terrible decision making and poor passing. just my opinion and i think the same about shaun kenny dowell actually.

would ask for a fair whack aswell, and he would be player who would go back to the nrl after getting some form.

He will be class as well. I was really excited to see Thornley when he was still at Wigan, I was gutted when he left.

He is almost 2m tall and is a real athlete.

Glad its been announced about Finch so we can just enjoy what hes got to offer us this year get on with it. Got some big shoes to fill in next year.

I think Dudson will fill in Limas place, if Fielden doesnt hit some awesome form in his comeback I think we will sign a big well known prop. If he does I think he will re-sign and we will sign a lesser known prop ala Flower and Dudson and hope he turns out the way they have. Smiths looking the most likely to take 7, hopefully we can get a class overseas player to replace Finch. If not the worst case scenario would be Sam/Russell/Powell to rotate between 1 and 6 see which is the best option, which is still not a bad scenario IMO! I hope we sign another centre to replace carmont. IMO Thornley/Gelling arent ready yet. Possibly even Carmont for one more year till they are ready?

After all that we've still got some great back up in Hughes, Flower, Dudson, Tuson, Russell, Powell, Lauaki, King, Burke, Spencer, Crosby, Lloyd, Murphy, Carberry etc....

That's not a bad squad with only one new signing being made. If the club don't expect to bring in two new halfbacks then Powell (when fit) and Mellor (who will have to be brought back from loan) will need some time in the first team to see how they cope otherwise it's a big risk. It's still not too bad though.

Its the 6 position of stand off that worries me. We need to also add depth and leadership.

Where doe this leave us with fielden, will he return after almost 2 years out injured?
