Not as traditional as the cherry and white hooped home shirt though is it? We've only had 6 blue and white stripey ones since 89 (source: bilkos brilliant site)
But Rugby League didn't just begin in 1989 either.
Don't forget since the invention of Sooper Dooper League along with Warriors, Sharks, BlueSox and other glorious monikers we have had more and more 'interesting designs' with flashes here, splodges there away from traditional home and away shirts of the past.

Prior to 10 years ago I doubt we ever played in Black.

Im only going off Bilkos site which only shows the shirts from up to 89, anyway my point was if we didnt have a blue stripey hooped one (which we wont) it wont be much of a change to the majority current fanbase will it? We've had full black ones, full blue ones, dark blue ones, light blue ones, black and silvery ones, the away shirt for next year is not purple or anything like bradfords (can you imagine the uproar from wiganers ) but its a little bit of a design that i (dont think) we've ever had before.

just to back you up
New Orleans Saints Champions 2010 in the flashest swankiest sport in the world, YET their shirts
They let their sport and team do the talking and stay traditional with their jerseys.
You don't need modern shirts just ones the fans want/like.

Think someone asked this before but just to make us feel better / or worse whichever way you look at it....can someone who is half decent and has photoshop do a cherry and white (or washing machine resistant) version of the new kit?
Sadly i think it would actually probably look cracking!
On a touchline somewhere watching Wigan St Patricks under 10's
