Agreed, given the annual clamour for him to play for England I'd actually say he's a bit overrated. Holding down a stadting spot at Wigan doesn't necessarily make you a superstar, particularly in the salary cap era

I was thinking the same thing based on his performance in the Samoa vs. Fiji game this weekend. And he looked pretty accurate with the boot when it came to taking the conversions.

IF he's available, which he could be simply because he's not getting game time, then it's a no brainer.

A 27 year old, strong and powerful Centre is arguably what we need.

Is Inu not playing at the minute then?

Always liked him and fancied seeing him over here. He'd make a good loan signing with a view to a longer deal if he's not playing currently.

When the good Dr Koukash at Salford announced the signing of Kevin Locke last week he also said that another big signing was imminent , on todays Salford board it is mentioned that Joel Tomkins is a done deal (information supposedly from Graham Holdroyd the ex Salford player).

If Wigan still hold Tomkins registration does that mean a financial windfall could be coming to Wigan.

You would assume so. It would be great to have Joel back in RL, disappointing if it's not at Wigan.

Why would we not retain his registration and play him ourselves? Couldn't we pay him more than them under the cap as well because he's home grown? Seriously hope that's not true I'd love him back at Wigan
