I'll stick my neck on the line and be slightly hypocritical after a post I made on wiganwarriorsfans but I think we'll be alright if Finch was to leave.

With the quality of this league I don't have many concerns. This Wigan team will be challenging for the next five years. Our backroom staff are absolutely outstanding in how they bring out the best in our players.

If next season we were to lineup with this squad then so be it. We would still compete and challenge for honours IMO. I don't think it will come to this but I refuse to panic anymore over whether Finch will sign or he doesn't or whether or not we replace Lima. In Shaun Wane I trust.

well with the report that Bradford need another 1.25 million to avoid administration im inclined to agree. With Lima going id be happy with filling the prop spot with Burgess particularly with how well the likes of Dudson have stepped up to the mark. Do we really need a Fu Fu or an Asotasi. Id be much happier breaking the bank and getting Finch or Sowood signed and a decent centre to replace George. Thread on saints board seems to suggest Gaskell is a done deal as well as Smith. Time will tell but its not a partnership that excites me. Would take some real time to gel

Burgess for Lima makes sense in terms of youth, Matty Smith would go well alongside Finch (or Soward), alongside Gaskell im not so sure. We need to do everything we can to keep Finch, every top class team needs a superstar, and as good as Sam is, Finch is the player that drives us.

I'd be so underwhelmed if our HBs next year are Smith and Gaskell. One of them alongside someone of proven quality, yes, but not both.

Then you'd waste the most naturally gifted British stand off skills at #6. I can't speak highly enough of lee Gaskell and I'm totally shocked he's not getting picked!

I could understand mike rush turning to the senior players as we'd become to dependant on makinson, foster, Gaskell and lomax and it wasn't doing them any good but now we've got a little stability he should be back in.
