NZ Warriors sacked Matthew Elliott according to various Twitter accounts. I suppose if it's true we'll find out if Shaun Wane is lined up for them or not? I really hope not but time will tell.

Doubt if IFL would let Harris go if Wane was lined up for NZ.

Why ? as has been oft said, after the Welsh showing at the WC Harris' stock has tumbled, as had any prospects of any immediate promotion. Therefore a if Wane were to go, a new broom would be bought, potentially with Deacs as a long term understudy.

If Wane was to leave to take over at NZ Warriors then you would hope that Wigan would insist it only happened at the end of this season. NZW have already sacked their coach and got a caretaker coach in place. No need for Wigan to be further inconvenienced just to suit NZW. If they want Wane then he sees out this season before joining them. That way although we will be losing our coach it won't disrupt this season, we won't have to make do with a hastily appointed caretaker (who may well not yet be ready for a head coach position) and we will have several months to find and appoint the right man to replace Wane for 2015 and beyond.
