I still can't help wanting finch and soward! It seems more unlikely by the minute but that would be the ideal scenario.

You'll easily be competing for the next 5-10 years with the squad you have now and the youngsters that you have coming through.

Can only see it being one or the other. Soward and Smith probably makes sense tbh, I've got reservations about whether Smith is good enough but he's only 24 and could flourish behind a quality pack and alongside a quality 6.

However, I'm really not too fussed about next years signings at the minute. I'm enjoying watching us play some excellent rugby league and the squad for next year will take care of itself (well IL and SW will take care of it).

We've got 3 oversees players leaving at the end of the season for definite and one other looking very likely, 2 of these have been excellent servants for a number of seasons and have seen us through good times and bad, the other 2 have been quality additions for 2 years and are currently playing some of the best rugby of their careers. None of them have an eye on 2013 and neither should we, let's just hope we send them away with as much silverware as possible.

People were saying the exact same thing last year when Lauaki, Dudson, Flower etc were being linked. And we needed another centre and another hooker. Have a bit of faith in the management team people!

On the Soward link, I thought there was no way it would happen at 1st but there have been too many rumours and links in the aussie press for us not to at least have asked the question. We will have cap and quota space and Wigan RL should always be able to attract quality players!
