I recall when Amos was here someone posted that he played an amateur game somewhere and was rapid.. If he had read this boards comments about Amos, i doubt he would come anywhere near Wigan.

just go on youtube and watch his highlights he is a genuine game breaker, people will say we don't need him but we don't have anybody as good as him.

That doesn't mean he won't take a season or two away from the NRL and mature a bit, if he has half decent advisors around him thats exactly what he will do.

We've no need for another winger. If we sign someone (and I'm not necessarily saying we should) it should be a defensive second rower or a backup hooker

Whether or not it was in the papers is of little consequence if a player is drinking to a degree where it affects his ability to do his job. The more serious problem would still exist it just wouldn't be as widely reported.

As somebody else has already posted though we don't need another winger/threequarter. It's in the pack where we would need to look first for reinforcements.

I disagree, to be honest.

I don't think we need a winger (until Charnley finally manages to do enough to get himself noticed by RU - which, let's be honest, won't be much, though it'll be more than he's doing at present), but we definitely need a centre. Goulding is having a poor season by his own standards - don't know what the problem is, but defensively in the backs we've been all over the place in 2014. I'm still not sure about Thornley. Nice hat-trick on Friday, but he's not the kind of game-breaker opponents fear. Since George went, I feel we've been lacking real strike-power in the centres. Still disappointed the Hardaker rumour came to nothing.
