What's the chances of it going tits up before the new season starts, It will be hard for him at best of times let alone Crimbo and New Years, I know what I'm on about, I haven't had a drink in 12 years and not done any drugs since 1996 but still get the odd craving now and then, Specially Crimbo and New Years, Hope it works out for him and the club

I never wanted to sign him in the first place and only see it going one way however, I respect IL and if he deems it a worthwhile last throw of the dice then hopefully the guy and the club can both win. The cynic in me however, thinks that he just has no self awareness and he hasn't go the fraction of the will power that you have and his next incident is not too far away.

Sadly I agree 100% - I do not care one iota how good a player he was/could be, signing and keeping are decisions I fear the club will regret in time.

Chuffed Wigan are standing by and trying to help him. If he can't get it right at Wigan he won't anywhere

I don't know that I'm 'chuffed'. Yes, you can argue that the Club has done the *right* thing, but I think I'd have been happier if they'd announced they were throwing him out on his ear!

Yeah maybe wrong choice of words. Shows the club for what it is though and that sort of interest in a not only a player but a man could be priceless to future targets or signings about the morals the club has. Also get to see him in a good side and hopefully clean rather than ending up at Toronto or somewhere like that where he will be allowed to run riot. Looking forward to hopefully seeing him in action next year, I know it will be a season of transition but I don't see a reason why you won't be challenging should you get a new half and at least a new prop and back rower

The club has made its decision and we must stand by it. Personally I do think he needs help with his alcohol intake, that may well mean he goes T-total. Either way this must be his last chance, he either sorts himself out or he will find himself out of a job and in jail. It’s almost inevitable if he continues on the path he is or was on.

I think it’s time we got behind the club and Zak and support him. After all on an off day he is still outstanding and I think he’ll become pivotal to us next season and beyond.

Absolutely gutted with this decision. We got rid of Joel Tomkins didn’t we? Double standards here.

We should be getting rid of him. It’s making a mockery saying he was on the last chance saloon when we signed him, then giving him another chance after that.

This will only go one way.

I was just going to post the same thing. JT was rightly shown the door but "all" he did was do what he did in the bar. Hardaker has in the past, admitted assaulting a student, was given a five match ban for homophobic comments, got banned for drugs and now has been done for drink driving (and he tried to run away from the police!) and the club decides it's got a duty of care to stick by him who has not even played a game for the club and not JT? Pull the other one.

Can't agree more. The cynic in me says, though, that biggotted cokehead that he might be, on his day he's a much better player than JT is. If he'd pulled this stunt actually in Wigan instead of 70 odd miles away, there might have been a different outcome. Either way, I certainly won't be applauding him on or off the field.

Not overly impressed by this. Last chance saloon clearly wasn’t so.

We’re just waiting for his next ‘mistake’ that drags the clubs name through the mud. It’ll happen. I’d put my mortgage on it.

I wonder what Waney is thinking today...
