Current thoughts - Mago out or get running up them plantations, get fit or get rid. Maybe a back up halfback, someone with a bit of experience on a short term deal. Big tall strong running second rower, like a McMeekin or Sironen type back rower.
Maybe we will have a sell out and people will be locked out (just like Manly in 87 where we had 37,000 inside the stadium and 4-5000 trying to view the game from the bridge).
But you cant see in the ground from the canal bridge?
Maguire was a black mark on RL in this country. Whilst coaches like Daniel Anderson and Brian McLennan won championships on the back of exciting Rugby league, Maguire set out to win at all costs, evident by the way Danny Maguire was seriously injured and laughed at on the floor by the wigan players as he writhed in agony. Then there has been the constant bending back of limbs, trying to seriously maim the opposition. Even Phil Clarke has jumped on the bandwagon with his disgusting comments about the Danny Maguire incident.
I think its fitting that the 2 fairest teams in the comp, who have been on the receiving end of Wigans tactics should contest the Grand Final and make it a proper family day out instead of the knuckle dragging, salivating neanderthals from Wigan, that would pour into manchester on grand final day.
I for one cant wait to mingle with the Leeds fans and have a beer with them, rather than having to watch my arms and legs, should wigan have got there.

When Maurice sold me to Leeds something changed, it just not the same, the passion inside me just wasn’t the same as running out at Central park for my hometown club. We need a change of culture here; we don’t want to be just happy with playing ok on Saturday at St Helens. Ill make sure that from now on things will change, that players will be under pressure and will train a lot harder than they have before. Shaun Wane 8/10/09

The Mirror 30/10/09 How the Premier League table would look if teams were awarded points for famous fans...
20th: Wigan The Latics don't have any fans, yet alone any famous ones.
Dropkick Murphy..we actually saw and heard a mass of bouncing and scarf and flag waving to Dale Cavese that drowned out anything we could muster.. It stopped us singing our own celebratory songs, it died out seconds later when we accepted we couldn't be heard over the Wigan lot Celebrations muted from us, job done from them. Most fans who slag them off are jealous their own club's support is nowhere near that good - sally cinnamon..Why not discuss Wigan? It's a rugby league message board. Wigan are the most famous brand in rugby league - Tre Cool..Saints fans are hopeless unless it's a cup final or grand final. Wigan fans are so much more loyal and passionate - the flying biscuit..Wires havent been massively succesful over the years, but I've spoke to Brian Bevan And he spoke to me and i wouldnt swap that for Wigans History, ever - Ande..on the TV i could only hear the Wigan fans with about 10 to go - Saint94..Every team is in your feckin shadow, we all know - FIOS
The newly sent RFL tickets havent been selling that well since last week. Ill predict a crowd of around 20K! A huge bag of smelly, rank pooh, RFL!!
I'm pretty sure most of the part time fans hardly think about the season before it starts and probably can't even remember the date. They will start to sell quicker as its posted all over sky sports and people realise they need a ticket.
How good would it be to have the 1987 Wigan Team introduced to the crowd prior to the game (all were English and could be available), maybe even form a guard of honour for the 2010 team as they enter the pitch?
If not, maybe a corporate dinner a few days before the match (again with the 87 team) with the full match shown on a big screen? Big money maker there...!!
There's loads of ways the club could market the WCC game and in addition 'doff the cap' to the past greats.
Wigan Warriors are delighted to unveil details of a unique dinner which will take place three days before the Probiz World Club Challenge between Wigan Warriors and St George-Illawarra Dragons.
The dinner will take place on Thursday 24th February from 7.00pm in The Marquee at The DW Stadium and will feature current star players and former greats from both the Warriors and Dragons.

I checked the e-ticketing site on Thursday evening and it showed 3,370 available for sale through via Wigan (North 1083, South 769, West 393, East 1126).
Tonight shows 2,880 tickets available through the e-ticketing site: (North 1002, South 536, West 374, East 968).
Yes, I know that the site isn't 100% accurate, but it does show movement of 490 tickets over four days - which I'd say is about right around now. I fully expect ticket sales to ramp up after the Cardiff weekend.
