Bullock/Singleton/Havard + another Singleton type prop would be a cracking rotation with the likes of Byrne/Kilner for back up.
Obviously if Burgess can get fit that's problem solved but it's looking like a big IF at the moment.

He's quite entertaining is Harrison but not always sure if I should take everything he says seriously

On one podcast he was quite scathing of the game in it's development of young uk born halfbacks. That's what got me thinking that Smith may end up getting peed off with potential lack of opportunities in 2021.

Exactly. We will have ties against lower division opponents in the CC as well as injuries to the starters so he should still see some game time

He will but I'd like him to be playing a good standard most weeks. There's no reserves and he didn't make the first choice 17 this season even before Field came in. Playing 80 mins on loan every week trumps the odd game off the bench for Wigan IMO. If we want to develop him long term.

With D and R we seem to have forgotten that loans for young players were pretty much the norm. Having said that carrying three forwards and a back should not be a problem especially when the fourth forward often does not see much game time..

Why bring a guy 10000 miles and not play him even if it’s off the bench?
Lam will play 4 forwards on the bench on a regular basis so Field will probably get limited chances with Smith even less

I can only see Smith getting game time if Hastings goes to 9

I would expect TL won’t be a regular. After signing his contract he said he understands his role for next season which suggests to me it will be a different role from this year.
