As two of the better informed on the subject: was Coley's play sufficient to warrant his return to the first team ahead of Prescott?

Coley isn't good enough.
If we are to improve then he's the type who has to be replaced by a better player when his contract is up. That's the end of 2009.
Don't think there's a snowballs chance.......... of him getting another contract.

Really hope he doesn't get a new contract

How many of Noble, Mathers, Phelps, Coley, Bailey, Smith do we expect to get a new contract?

None deserves it but maybe some will get it

Coley is a huge bloke and very fast for a forward of his size but he looks to have a heart the size of a pea!

Not good enough for Wigan but you can understand his heart not quite being in it after being offered to Wakey in the off season.

I remember being shocked when Wigan signed Coley, having seen him play a lot in the NL1 I do not consider him to be a GOOD SL player. He also gives away loads of penalties. I really don't know why Noble took him to Wigan.

cos he used to play well against us nearly every time we played Salford

Because we needed an experienced prop and he was available & affordable.

Signed when we needed a prop to help Fielden out and Prescott and O'Carroll were not mature enough.

They will be next season though so there's no need to renew his contract.

Prescott was one of the water men on Friday and looks like he's buled up in the off season also
