Not sure what your point is? As much as I trust a brain surgeon (or any medical expert for that matter) to look after my health, I wouldn't trust them to do my business accounts. Likewise, what makes automatically makes them capable of running an organisation with huge budgets and numerous diverse departments?
If this pandemic has taught us anything, medical experts are just that - experts in all things medical. They aren't economic experts and I'd even go as far as to say that they just don't get that aspect of life. Look no further than today's call from the RCN for further restrictions - completely at odds with what a lot of the public and businesses want.
The NHS needs CEO level people to counteract the noble, but naive financial outlook many medical experts have.
