It's so frustrating!!!!! Had they just kept it simple with cherry and white hoops (it's not effing difficult!) then the majority of us would have been chuffed. They've f***ed my xmas present up now.
Tbh its so bad that I hope they change it and get us another I know that would mean after xmas but I guarantee they will lose more on this shirt than they will releasing a good shirt after xmas.
Exactly!! Just look at the rest of the leagues perception of it. Everyone knows its an abortion!!
Just hope IFL realises this and is big enough to realise this is the biggest error of judgement yet (which actually does show you what a great job he's done, but still!). Surely it cant be too late to hold their hands up and do a U turn before were stuck with it......get rid of the run in the wash look and we actually could have a beltin kit.
Someone has said elsewhere that its not out until 2 weeks before xmas, so have these actually been printed?! If not hold the press, take the same design, put it back to cherry and white and we have a seller. Even if they have been printed, sell the first batch as limited edition (theres always a few happy clapper, stupid enough losers to buy whatever it looks like).
We could even use this to positively market a new kit....has any team ever released a new look kit and then not gone with it! Use it as uniqueness to sell a decent kit ie/ news items etc. can see it on NWT now....what do you do when your kits shocking....well wigan have listend to the fans and made last minute changes and come out with this cracker!! etc.
By doing this we could yet turn it around. Perhaps im being unrealisticly optimistic! Just wish the club take the risk though! IMO they need to or what should be a record year for turnover takes a massive hit before we've even started cos these pieces of 5h1t are only going to sell to the 'I buy everything with a wigan badge cos I think it makes me look like a bigger fan' loser

The thing is, I just know that the same old mindless guppies who'll buy owt with a Wigan badge on will still buy it. I'll stick to my plain white t-shirt with the Wigan badge embroidered for next year. Only cost a tenner as well.
The problem you have there is that no doubt they will be Chinese manufactured and will be already en-route by container to get in before Xmas (takes around 30 days) to get to UK ports.

Good job the club as these mindless guppies or the club wouldnt make any money.
Anyone know where the part of the Wigan website is where you can e-mail your thoughts? Just been looking but cant find it.
Even if they are on route, they'll only be a first batch of 1000 or so. Surely its worth writing this off if they can actually get more than the odd thousand happy clappers to buy the kit. If theyre stuck for what to do with the first batch, donate them to 'Kits for Kumuls'?! Not only are we showing great corporate social responsibility, but that will raise our profile tenfold in PNG, and significantly everywhere else. A bit of initiative could still turn this around IMO!
Someone needs to send them a link to this thread IMO. Since Leneghan came to the club they've been nothing short of excellent at listening to the fans and that has been rewarded time and time again.
They seriously need to listen to us on this one, and pull out the stops to get this sorted before it is a monumental b@lls up....and just to add salt to the wound?! ..........where the f00k is the champions badge as well!!!
If there is any possible way the club can make a U-turn on this embarrassing kit (you can even tell clear as day Harrison Hansen was embarrassed by it on the video) I would urge IFL and co to make that decision.
Ian Lenagan, if you're reading this - can you please post why you were happy to approve this kit?
As has been said previously, the chairman has done a terrific job thus far - a lot of this is based on a greater willingness to listen to the fans' views and take action on them. Please read this thread and let's get a strip sorted out worthy of a champion side.

Not really. They're more the reason we get served up with a 5hyte shirt like this, and the main thing that will save this abortion of a shirt!
Unfortunately the club know if they served up a shirt with a pile of dog 5h1t on the front but with a Wigan RL badge on some would still buy it. so they are more likely to, while even accepting they have made an error on this, continue regardless as they know they will get some sales. If everyone said were not buyin it, that would force the hand and we may get something decent.
The club will make more money by making excelent products for us all to buy rather than dross that only 1000 mindless guppies will buy!
How difficult would it have been for the club last summer to have contacted 200 or so supporters and invited them to a 'design approval' event in the South Stand bar?
This design would have been binned there and then I reckon.
