They're better then us in pretty much every position so they say but then they have been for the last 4 pre seasons as well so I'll not lose too much sleep yet.

Just to reiterate, i said that in what is a very good squad, prop is your weakest position. Your backrow and backline are excellent

Forget about stats over the whole season. When it mattered Taylor and Flower were the BEST props in the competition, including Peacock. They were supposed to be blown away in the GF by Wire's much vaunted front row, who were on their knees by the 70 minute mark. Taylor and Flower blew them away.

Morley had a fractured skull, Carvell played with broken ribs and Grix and Westwood played with head injuries all sustained in the first half in which we were on top.
The second half had the above injuries plus J.Monaghan waking up in hospital My let playing on a broken ankle and Ratchford carried off with ankle injuries he couldn't stand on.

Broncos under 16's would have beat us in that 2nd half.

I know the aim isnt to injure the opposition players, and monaghan and ratchford injuries were accidents, but are the others you mention not the manifestations of being physically battered by wigan? And wigan suffered none of these injuries implying a level of one sidedness and not luck?

You might be right and wrong.

But what is in no real doubt our best forward in the play offs was Flower. Was great as the replacement for SOL at the Giants and against Leeds and was our best prop in the final. Peacock is better on one leg than Flower as a prop but as a Loose Forward its the other way round.

Flower is far better than most other side supporters will accept and he is only 26 and that for a prop is young and he is one of the older ones. As someone has said he was our best prop last season and we did the double so he can not be that bad given his impact in the play off series.

Broncos under 16s wouldn't have caused those injuries with their ferocity. Green had a motm performance with one-eye, we also lost Goulding during the Cup Final, Mossop during the '11 cup final and Richards during the '10 grand final. Difference is everyone forgets that because we still got the job done . The reality is your ageing pack couldn't keep up with our young pack's ferocity for 80 minutes.

Saints fans views seem to be that if Walsh has a blinder of a season the team will too.
If he turns out to be a "Josh Perry" injury wise then their season is scuppered.

This is hilarious. First off trying to compare props from our team to one who played at wakey last season. Do people really think that it gives a fair comparison. Given the way our team plays in the regular season by using the forwards as the decoy players giving the wide outs the chance to make meters all over the pitch. wakey flogged amor as he was one of there only effective tools. Same with walmsley at saints!

Our season was based on giving the big men as best chance of being ready at the business end of the year as possible. That was achieved through rotation and style of play (no heavy work loads).

When it came to the big games (play offs, cup final) not one single team could get near our pack! Everyone was saying how good our back line was, but our props & Micky mac were the stars of the Play offs.

When push came to shove, wigans front row stood taller than anyone else's! None of this 'he made more meters', when it mattered ours won us the trophies! Amor was playing in a team that needed a workhorse. Taylor and flower were playing in a team which I would hazard a guess scored more points from its back 3 than anyone else. Thats our style of play!

Charnley probably wouldn't have score 40odd try's at wakey last season, that wouldn't have made him a worse player, just styles that teams play!

The notion that wigans weakness is our props is one of the highest order of stupidity just months after they starred in the play offs. If they are our weakness then blimey we have a bloomin good squad and won't be stopped this season (that isn't me suggesting that)
