I honestly think Prop is Wigans weakest position. Unfortunately your backrow and back line are bloody good!

Where as all this off season all I've heard is how Saints now have the strongest forwards in the game...pity the backs are rubbish.

The usual defensive response to a post from a supporter of another club.

It's called 'challenging your opinion' Pete! Would you rather we all just agreed with you? As for your comments on our props, there's some merit in it as we are, as yet, an unproven unit having lost several players. However, as you say yourself, individually the likes of Taylor and Crosby are becoming top drawer and Pettybourne showed what he is capable of during the world cup and is, by all account, ripping it up in training. As for Flower, whether you like it or not, he was one of the best props in the league last season and was a significant cog in a double winning team! Dismiss that if you like but, as last season showed, opposition fans in general and Saints fans in particular have a habit of dismissing Wigan players, saying we all wear Cherry and White specs. Sean O'Loughlin being just about the best example in recent years although you could equally add the likes of Matty Smith from last season. That didn't work out too bad, did it?

Saints fan "Mose Masoe is a good signing "
Wigan fan "not better than Dudson"
Saints fan " Walsh could be a great signing"
Wigan fan "not better than smith"
Saints fan " swift will add pace to our back line"
Wigan fan "not faster than Charnley"
Not everything needs to be a war between saints and Wigan on this board!

I said Crosby looks and Taylor Could be world class but IMO think flower is a good solid prop but nothing special and then come the defensive posts!
Very touchy this pre season you lot

Flower and Taylor are good but not great SL props. In his first year in superleague (he was only supposed to do 4 games) Walmesley did more metres than either. That's before you compare them to great props like peacock etc
