You make a good point. I suppose as long as SW is happy. Personally after the double I would have given him 5 years. I would like him to create his own dynasty at the club.

i think that is what will happen. perhaps another 2 years to bed in the next generation (who he brought through the ranks) and then go for a stint in the NRL. I think he would want to leave having left a legacy in the form of a new generation embedded into the team, rather than leave a 'rebuilding' job to the next man.

Would Harris be nailed on to be the next coach if Wane left in 12 months?

Would Deacon or Winder have a shot?

Would the club look outside?

Thought Waney was on contract now to the end of 2015 season.
Does anyone know if that is that correct or not?

That is correct. He has 2014 and 2015 on his current deal.

If Waney left now Harris would certainly get the job. My feeling I'd that he should be in the frame for the next decent Super League job that comes up. Would he go back to Bradford? Would Leeds have him back? Brown is under pressure to deliver at Saints. Did Hull consider him? Or is he waiting for Waney to leave?

I don't think Harris will be at Wigan after 2015 as an assistant. He'll be ambitious for a Head Coach vacancy. He has served his apprenticeship under Brian Noble and SW and done the Welsh job for a few years.
